In the afternoon of Oct. 18, 2016, Qihua Chen, Caterpillar global vice president and chairman of Caterpillar (China) Investment Co., Ltd. , along with Caterpillar business resource manager Jing Yuan, general manager of Caterpillar (Xuzhou) Co., Ltd. Chengjian Yang, Caterpillar Asia-Pacific purchasing manager Zhifeng Li and Caterpillar China country manager and CPS master black belt Yanjun Jiang visited and guided Dongyue, meanwhile awarded 2016 SQEP bronze medal to Dongyue. Chairman of Dongyue Yuhai Xu and general manager Eric Xu gave a warm reception with Dongyue team.
    General manager Eric Xu respectively reported the work from five aspects: completion status of common goal with Caterpillar; development situation of process audit and BIQ; optimization project of TRF production line; implementation of digital welding machine and OA office system; planning and prospects of Dongyue.
    After the report, the both parties had a in-depth exchange and communication. Qihua Chen said that as a strategic and excellent supplier of Caterpillar, Dongyue supported Caterpillar quality enhancement requirement and policy very well as well as the complete machine export business of Caterpillar Xuzhou facility although the global construction machinery industry market met downturn. He hoped that Dongyue would make persistent efforts in 2017 by continually improving quality stability and production efficiency, striving for SQEP silver medal.
     After a fruitful communication, Qihua Chen and other four caterpillar members visited Dongyue’s workshop. The deputy general manager of the company Jianfeng Shao gave a detailed description and instruction in regard of quality board, digital welding machine, production line of main products(Carbody and TRF) and welding robots. It fully showed Dongyue team’s achievements in terms of new technology application and quality management. 
    At the end, Qihua Chen congratulated and recognized Dongyue’s outstanding achievements in 2016 Caterpillar SQEP audit, then held a bronze award ceremony.
